You’ll likely want to jump again, but your first skydive is an experience you can’t miss! A tandem skydive is the easiest and most exhilarating way to feel the rush of freefall. All you need is a sense of adventure, good weather, comfy sports shoes, and a reservation – the rest is pure adrenaline!
Skydive Sofia’s tandem instructors are professionals, they will get the job done, all you have to do is enjoy the experience.
After a 12-minute climb in a Cessna 206 aircraft, you will find yourself on the edge of the plane, ready to fly, hooked to your instructor.
Keep your head up, smile at the cameraman, jump and experience about 60 seconds of free fall, reaching speeds of 240 km/h.
The open-topped flight to the ground takes about 5 minutes, during which you can chat with the instructor and enjoy the beautiful view of mountains, valleys, and villages before landing as a new person.

How to book a skydive
- Choose a service and click the “Book“ button
- Select the date and time of your jump
- Leave the checkbox ticked if you want to pay only the deposit, or uncheck it for the full amount.
- Fill in your contact details.
- Indicate how you will pay – by bank transfer, in cash at the EasyPay cash desk, or directly with a card through the ePay system or the virtual POS terminal.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
- After payment, you will receive a confirmation email along with а boarding pass
- On the day of your jump, we expect you at the Ihtiman Airfield 30 minutes before your reserved time

Recording
An unforgettable experience that most people only get once in a lifetime deserves to be captured, so you can relive the thrill and treasure the memories forever.
The recording can be done with a camera mounted on the instructor’s hand (Handy for video and Selfie for both video and photos), or by another skydiver jumping alongside you (Paparak), the Premium option includes a combination of both.
Right after your jump, you’ll receive an edited video of your entire experience, so you can relive the thrill or prove to the skeptics that you truly did take the leap!
Limitations
- You choose the date and time for your jump, and you will spend approximately 1 to 1.5 hours with us.
- We work every day, year-round, but we are dependent on weather conditions! Stay tuned for information at skydivesofia.com/weather
- Where – You should be at Ihtiman Airfield 30 minutes before your reserved time.
- You don’t need to print your boarding pass; just the number is required.
- Have a light meal before you come – don’t arrive hungry, but also avoid overeating.
- Alcohol and intoxicants before a jump are prohibited (including beer). Binge drinking the night before is also not recommended – it’s better to water down the jump after it’s happened.
- Wear shoes without hooks – flip-flops and slippers will fly off, and some sandals may also be a problem. Good old sneakers are your best bet.
- If you wear glasses or contact lenses, no problem – you’ll be provided with protective goggles.
- If the weather is cold, we will provide you with gloves and a jumpsuit that you can put on over your own clothes. The difference in temperature up and down is not very big, even if it’s cold, the adrenaline will warm you up, so don’t dress up like it’s -40.
- On-site, you will fill out a declaration for the skydive and receive a safety briefing.
